UPDATE 6/13 Are you ready for the biggest joke of all? I'm been told that the people I'm supposed to place my orders through don't even have any product themselves. So now even if you wanted to ordr from them you can't because they had to wait... to place their order. And then ran out. I wonder how long they've been out. It just keeps getting more ridiculous!!!
I have been putting off posting this message because it infuriates me and I'm sure it will you too. As you are aware we have been a direct importer of Olewo carrots for many years. As a matter of fact Patrick McDonald the founder of Dog Town USA was the original importer of Olewo, only people don't have loyalty to people instead they have it to the company name. Well our competitor (which was also Mr McDonald's first company) wants to have control over the pricing here in North America. They convinced the manufacturer of Olewo (Olewo GmBh) to give them exclusive importation of Olewo by stating that Naturmix was the first importer and that we sell the product for too little making it hard for them to increase their profit margin. Yes, Naturmix was the first importer but under the name of Patrick McDonald the same person that imported it into Dog Town.
Well folks this is evidently Oil Company mentality only Olewo is not a necessity it's something our dogs can clearly do without, it's not like being powerless at the gas pumps. We have been told if we want to carry Olewo we will need to place our order with Naturmix USA so they can in turn forward the order to Germany and not only make a profit from us but force us to have to raise our prices to you. I'm sorry but we will not help them manipulate the market this way. We have informed Germany that we will discontinue the sale of Olewo. So unfortunately when our stock is gone we will no longer carry Olewo unless things are returned to normal and it's a fair market for all. I'm also hoping that by making you aware of the intention to force the price up in the US that it will stop them in their tracks at least for now from making record profits off you. It's probably not a good idea to raise the price or tell you the price went up to them after you've been given a heads up to the situation.
